Before embarking on our Detox Programs we encourage you to prepare yourself with a pre-program cleanse. The more time you devote to this the better. Ideally a month would be perfect, but few of us live in a perfect world.  Thus if you only have a week a week that will be good enough! This pre-cleansing involves eating mostly raw foods (salads & fruits), lots of vegetables, drinking plenty of water and drinking a Liver Flush Drink twice a day. 
If time permits you can come earlier and do a Pre-cleanse program with us before your detox.


1. The Liver Flush Recipe (to be taken in the morning & evening)
Mix the following in a blender

  1. 2 tablespoons( 1/3 cup) Extra virgin olive oil
  2. 1 -2/3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  3. 3-5 cloves garlic
  4. 1 knob ginger
  5.  ½ gm Cayenne Pepper
  6. 6. Orange Juice

2. Pre-cleanse diet:

AVOID heavy proteins such as red meat, processed foods such as white breads & grains, cakes, & sugar as well as coffee, alcohol & soft drinks.


DO take plenty of vegetable & fruit juices. We suggest you eat and drink alkaline-forming foods such as: all fresh fruits, raw vegetables & juices, salad greens, sprouts, dates, dried apricots, dried figs, grapefruit, melons, raisins and lentils.


Ideally your saliva or urine should turn litmus paper blue on the first day of your “Detox Program”. This would indicate alkalinity rather than all too common acidity.


3. Planning for your Detox:

To reap the most benefits of a detox, please plan for a few days before your program date & also a few days after to end the program correctly when you are booking for your accommodation. 10 or more days would be the appropriate length of time. The best thing to do to prepare yourself is some pre-cleansing (2-3days or up to 1 month depending on the individual) prior to your arrival here! This will insure you get the maximum benefit from your journey into wellness at Absolute Sanctuary.


It is also important to come off a cleanse correctly by consuming a diet consisting primarily of fruits and vegetables and taking special replacement lacto bacteria for around three days after your detox.
